Jerusalem Theft of Palestinian properties in West and East Jerusalem by Jewish State -1948 to present
From April to July 1948 by order of Polish migrant to Palestine David Ben Gruen (Gurion) under plan D to ethnically cleanse (depopulate ) the Palestinian villages and neighborhoods of West Jerusalem. All their properties were then seized under the pretext of absentee property under the newly formulated Law of Absentee property. Migrant Jews replaced Palestinian families, Christian and Moslem, and live to this date in their homes and enrich themselves at the expense of the dispossessed. (photos and names of families of such property are illustrated in the book)
In June of 1967, Israeli forces conquered and occupied the Old City and East Jerusalem. Subsequently Israel annexed the Eastern Arab part and began a process of seizing Palestinian private real estate for the establishment of exclusive Jewish residential settlements. Thousands of acres of private property were seized under the pretext of confiscation for public purpose. The public purpose is private residential settlements initially exclusively for Jews. Palestinian neighborhoods found themselves surrounded from all directions by fortress settlements with only opening the sky above them.
Through the Absentee Property Law Israel managed to accomplish the greatest theft of property in the history of mankind. This includes property in Jerusalem and the entire country of Palestine.
